With a combined 100 years of candy-making experience, drawn from the two founding brands behind our franchise program, River Street Sweets and Savannah's Candy Kitchen, has made Savannah, Georgia synonymous with Handmade Southern Sweets. Whether it be World Famous Pralines, saltwater taffy, hand-stretched peanut brittle, creamy caramel, or hand-made ice cream and gelato, the made from scratch Southern delicacies are known worldwide. Founded in 1973 on Savannah's historic waterfront, the original River Street Sweets is the city's oldest candy store. Guests who visit a River Street Sweets and Savannah's Candy Kitchen store while in Savannah are treated to the sights and smells of freshly made candy in our open kitchens. The best part is that the guests are able to sample the World Famous Pralines as they are being dipped right before their eyes. 2015 brought about the joint venture between the two candy-making icons that resulted in the River Street Sweets - Savannah's Candy Kitchen franchise opportunity. Standing behind each franchisee is over 100 years of candy-making and business operations experience along with a 75,000 square foot production and distribution facility that supports the franchise network.
